More Details on the Rockefeller Economic Council on Planetary Health

The issues and challenges addressed by the planetary health framework are cross-cutting, multi-disciplinary, and global in scale. The Oxford Martin School is the host institution for the Rockefeller Foundation Economic Council (chaired by Ernesto Zedillo), a new group that will explore the policy and economic case for planetary health, specifically the economic development components.

The full Council membership includes global representation (with notable industry/business leaders Naina Lal Kidwai, Paul Polman, Richard Branson, others) and will work over the next 18 months to provide economic data to leaders and policymakers to augment the economic evidence base for planetary health.
